CWB Welding Foundation’s Best Practices
The CWB Welding Foundation’s vision is to support the Canadian Welding industry in having a sustainable labor supply of skilled welding professionals and tradespeople that thereby contributes to our local economic prosperity.
The Women of Steel™ program is a platform for introducing the welding trade in a safe way to young Canadian women with an interest in exploring the trade. We focus on continual enforcement of safe and proper work procedures, while appropriate conduct, behavior and student expectations are also imperative.
“Throughout Canada, the CWB Welding Foundation is working diligently to increase the awareness of and interest in welding and related technologies and trades to a diverse audience – across Canada, and inclusive of all demographics –including women, under-represented communities, rural and remote areas, indigenous peoples, and newcomers to Canada.”
