Maybe you are considering being a strength and conditioning specialist, a sport psychologist or a massage therapist? Everything starts here!
If you have a keen interest in fitness, wellness and active living, we offer two exciting diplomas that will get you started in the health and fitness industry!
If you are considering a Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Physical Education, Kinesiology, Recreation and/or Education, we offer two years (60 credits) of appropriate course work to allow eligibility to transfer to the University of Alberta and other institutions.
Bachelor of Kinesiology
University Transfer
If you have a passion for exercise, a keen interest in sport performance, fitness testing, and human movement, Kinesiology may be the program for you. Study a wide variety of courses from anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and nutrition to the history and sociology of sport and the art of coaching.
Our students may complete two years, studying aspects of physical activity, exercise, fitness, health, and sport, working towards the Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Alberta.

Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology University Transfer
If you have an interest in the sciences and a desire to understand how human movement can be optimized, then this may be the program for you. Focus on understanding how the biological and physical sciences relate to human movement.
You may complete up to two years, studying aspects of physical activity, exercise, fitness, health, and sport working towards the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta.

Personal Trainer Diploma
Are you interested in physical fitness, fitness evaluation, the promotion of health and wellness, and leadership? The trend towards healthier lifestyles and recognizing the need for personalized fitness programs has created a growing demand for qualified and certified personal trainers. Students will receive specialized training in one or more certifications, and be given the opportunity to gain valuable experience by completing a supervised practicum in this growing industry.

Possible Careers Include: Personal Training at private fitness centres, public recreation facilities, or start your own business. Coach active living, strength and conditioning, physical activity and sport performance.
Bachelor of Kinesiology & Education Combined University Transfer
Use your passion to learn about movement, dance, and physical literacy and apply it to youth. Educate and inspire youth about how sport, fitness, and nutrition lead to maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle. This two-year transfer program is part of a five-year University of Alberta combined degree.

Kinesiology Diploma
The Kinesiology Diploma builds the foundation for further education within the field by offering the same courses as the Kinesiology University Transfer program. At the end of two years of successful studies, students are awarded a diploma from our institution and can transfer directly into the Bachelor of Kinesiology Program at the University of Alberta.

Bachelor of Arts in Recreation, Sport and Tourism University Transfer
Does the world of recreation and leisure intrigue you? Recreation, sport and tourism studies is a broad field which includes study in mountain history, fitness and active living programs, as well as arts, culture, and heritage. As one of our students, you can complete one year towards the Bachelor of Arts in Recreation, Sport and Tourism at the University of Alberta.
