Enterprise Risk Management
Northwestern Polytechnic is committed to the provision of a safe, healthy, and secure environment for all members of our learning community. The NWP Health, Safety and Environmental Program is based on current Provincial and Federal Regulations and Requirements. The Security Program sets out the parameters of an effective NWP security system across campus locations. Both programs were developed to keep students, employees, contractors, visitors and the general public safe from injury, illness and / or financial loss.
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) extends beyond these programs as a continuous, proactive and dynamic process designed to identify, manage and communicate potential risks and opportunities that might impact the achievement of NWP's academic and strategic goals. All NWP employees are responsible for managing risk as part of their daily responsibilities and NWP has implemented a formal program to guide the identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring and reporting of risks across the institution; this program includes established protocols for the reporting of legislative non-compliance incidents and steps to remediate instances of non-compliance.
