If you are interested in a career in contemporary visual art or just want to explore your potential, here is a great place to start. We will inspire, motivate and encourage you to explore the visual arts through drawing, visual fundamentals, painting, sculpture and design. Our visual art studios provide opportunities for many types of visual art production. You will have access to drawing, painting and sculpture studios, a bright, well-equipped woodshop, welding equipment, a kiln, audiovisual equipment, computer labs and a video-editing suite.

We offer small class sizes with one on one instruction, and exhibition opportunities to exhibit your work both on campus and in the community. Second-year students have individual studio space in which to work. The instructors in our department are practicing, professional artists as well as educators.

We do not require a portfolio for admission, and our program builds a solid foundation for professional practice through a combination of lectures and hands-on learning in the studio.

We offer two streams of study:

Bachelor of Fine Arts

At our institution, you can begin your pursuit of a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. You will gain a level of understanding and appreciation of visual art and art history methods. Various concepts and projects using a variety of art media will be explored. An emphasis on the understanding of two and three dimensional design dynamics of visual form will help you as you learn techniques of drawing while exploring expressive uses of monochromatic media.
