Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) are essential members of Emergency Medical Services. They provide medical assessment, treatment, stabilization and transportation to patients experiencing trauma or illness. As a valued healthcare professional, graduates will work collaboratively with other first responders and community support agencies in a variety of health service, industrial and community settings.
Our interactive one-year PCP certificate program features online learning and 10-weeks of lab instruction at our Health Education Centre, located within Grande Prairie Regional Hospital. Students will also gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience from a practical blend of hands-on clinical exposure and fast-paced placements.
Possible Careers Include: Emergency medical responder (EMR), primary care paramedic (PCP), advanced care paramedic (ACP)
