Artificial Insemination for Cattle
Description
This course explores the practice of artificial insemination for cattle. You will discuss the anatomy of female organs, selection of females (focused on nutrition), equipment, heat detection and timing of breeding, and placement of thawed semen. You will also have the opportunity to work with practice cows. This course is suitable for the novice practitioner for private use.
Student Eligibility
You must be accustomed to working with cattle. Student minimum age requirement is 16 years of age in order to particpate in the course. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present at the start of the course to complete the student waiver. Failure to do so will result in denial to enter the course and the loss of tuition. The student waiver can be found here.
