External Relations is focused on Northwestern Polytechnic's connections with our valued partners and external stakeholders. Through our events, marketing, fundraising and donor and alumni relations, we love serving our learning community.
Marketing and Communications
Our small but mighty team is responsible for ensuring that all internal and external communications reflect our values while adhering to the institution’s brand guidelines and visual standards. We are kept busy each day, connecting the dots between great initiatives, overseeing social media, keeping web content fresh, listening to fantaistic ideas and providing strategic communications guidance, and sharing the latest happenings at NWP. Our team also supports the creation of documents like the government's Annual Report, the Report to Community, and various other engaging alumni, staff and community publications.

Our team generates revenue to support the success of our students through fundraising, special events and by cultivating mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships between Northwestern Polytechnic, alumni, donors, foundations, governments and corporations. We plan, strategize and execute beloved community events such as the NWP Golf Classic, President’s Ball and President’s Award Luncheon.

Our team looks after everything needed for hosting community events on campus. Internal and external community members can talk to the team about booking any of our event spaces or classrooms in Grande Prairie or Fairview. We will help you choose the right venue, as well as help to plan all the details such as catering, room set-up and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to advertise and market your event.
