Gillian Head, the newest Women's Volleyball recruit will join the Wolves for the 2025-26 ACAC season.
The NWP Wolves Women's Volleyball recruitment drive is in full swing, with head coach Kelly McGuire bulking up the 2025-26 roster by adding local athlete Gillian Head.
A standout player for the South Peace Volleyball Club (SPVC), Head helped her team secure consecutive provincial silver medals in 2021 and 2022. She was awarded the prestigious Provincial All-Star Award in 2022, and most recently clinched a well-deserved bronze medal at the 2023 provincial championships. Now, as she joins the Wolves for the upcoming season, Head is poised to bring her game to the next level, ready to make an impact in the Wolf Den and add her talent to the pack.
Eager to experience the intensity of ACAC competition, Head is excited to be a part of the momentum toward earning a playoff berth. She chose NWP for its academic and athletic opportunities, drawn to the coaching staff's insightful approach to the game. With a focus on elevating her skills, Head looks forward to training in an environment where her teammates' drive and determination will help her game reach new heights. She adds that "the team will create a competitive learning environment in the gym."
Head coach Kelly McGuire is thrilled at the new addition. "Gillian's skillset and drive to reach her full potential will be an immediate asset to our program and culture. We look forward to seeing Gillian in a Wolves jersey next season and hopefully for years to come." Along with coach McGuire, the players are excited to welcome Head to the Wolfpack, eager to join forces in pursuit of a championship season.
