Schmidt Commits to MVB 2025-26 Season

2025-26 season recruit, Owen Schmidt.
The 2025-26 Men's Volleyball recruitment class is growing. Head Coach Lindsay Habib has bulked up the roster with two-time Canada Cup athlete, Owen Schmidt from Beaverlodge, AB.
Fresh off a successful 2024 season with Team Alberta, Schmidt scooped bronze at the Canada Cup and gold at the Arctic Winter Games, adding more hardware to his accomplished high-school career.
"I'm excited to play at the next level in front of a great fan base," said Schmidt, looking forward to his future with the Wolves. "The opportunity to play for my hometown is exciting, and I believe Lindsey and Ron are great coaches.
Coach Habib is pleased Schmidt will dress in Wolves colours next season.
"Owen is a high-level beach and indoor player. His all-around skillset, feel for the game, and high volleyball IQ will make an impact right away. We are thrilled to add him to our roster."
Fun fact about Owen: I was born in Iserlohn, Germany.
