News Archives: Pollock Runs with the Wolves Starting Fall 2024

Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2024-2025 NWP Wolves Cross Country Running and Indoor Track teams. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolfpack member. Coach Chris Nelissen is excited to introduce recruits to the lineup.
Welcome McKenna Pollock.
Pollock is a local athlete hailing from Grande Prairie, Alberta. In joining the wolf pack, she is most excited about meeting new people who share the love of running. NWP was the perfect choice for Pollock to continue her education as it is “close to my family”.
Coach Chris Nelissen is looking forward to working with Pollock this upcoming season. “McKenna is an eager addition to our women’s running program. Adept at going long distances, she will bring a standard work ethic that will be vital to the program.”
Fun fact about McKenna: She is registered and competing in this year’s Death Race!
