New Recruit Emma Van Dijk
Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2024-2025 NWP Wolves Women's Basketball team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach Bill Bradley is excited to add recruits to the roster.
Meet Emma Van Dijk, a multi-talented athlete from Westlock, Alberta who is excited to join the Wolves Women's Basketball team for the upcoming year.
Van Dijk brings with her an impressive athletic resume, including a 6th Place Finish at Provincials with R.F. Staples Thunderbirds in 2023 and a 5th Place Finish at Provincials with R.F. Staples Thunderbirds in 2024.
When asked why she chose NWP, Van Dijk explained that she "wanted to continue my studies while playing basketball."
In her rookie year, Van Dijk is most excited for "meeting my teammates and making new friends. I am also excited to learn new skills and improve my basketball playstyle."
Head Coach Bill Bradley is excited to work with Van Dijk, adding, “I am looking forward to adding Emma to our roster, her speed is something you can’t teach, and her court vision is already at a level I think will help her transition to the college game quickly.”
Welcome to the pack, Emma.
