News Archives: Northwestern Polytechnic Puts New Spin on Annual Fundraising Ball

Northwestern Polytechnic recently announced exciting changes to its signature fall fundraising night out. During the reception at the Northwestern Classic golf event, NWP President and CEO, Justin Kohlman shared that going forward, the NWP President’s Ball will now be known as the Entrepreneur’s Ball.
"We recognize the tremendous talent and value in our community and thought it was time for a change," explains Kohlman. "Not only does this new name align with our goal of becoming the most entrepreneurial polytechnic in Canada by 2034, but it also celebrates the remarkable difference-makers in northwestern Alberta.”
Held during the third week of October, the Ball has been integral in building meaningful community connections and delivering impactful results for students and the institution over the last three decades. While this focus will remain, the newly minted event name aims to honor the innovative, vibrant, and creative go-getter energy that makes the region so distinctive.
“Our signature events are essential in bringing together community trailblazers who advocate for quality post-secondary education in the Peace,” says Kohlman. “With the benefit of their generosity, NWP is able to launch new programs, acquire leading-edge technology and empower students on their quest for educational excellence.”
The Entrepreneur’s Ball will be held at Evergreen Park on October 21, 2023, and will feature live entertainment, an exquisite dinner, and much more. Like the Northwestern Classic, the Ball often sells out early in the season, so people are encouraged to secure their tickets early.
“We are delighted to be offering individual ticket and group table sales to our community members and business leaders,” says Devon Potter, Donor and Alumni Officer. “Tickets cost just $275.00 per person and can be ordered by phone or online. There is also an exclusive opportunity to be front and centre at the event by becoming the title event sponsor.”
