GPRC Wolves Men's Soccer New Recruit, Sam Hafner.
Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2021-22 GPRC Wolves Men’s Soccer team. GPRC is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the 5GPRC priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach, Chris Morgan is excited to add his first recruits to the roster.
Meet Samuel Hafner.
Joining the Wolves from just northwest of Grande Prairie, Hafner hails from Fort St. John, British Columbia. Hafner is ready to get out on the field with his new teammates, “Being chosen by GPRC is an honour and a privilege, and I am looking forward to getting started.”
Hafner is no stranger to gold medal titles, having brought numerous home with his Fort St. John Northern Strikers team. Hafner was also a player in the 2018 British Columbia Summer Games.
In his upcoming rookie season, Hafner is ready to give it his all. “I am looking forward to challenging myself on the field and competing at the next level. I’m ready to bring my best to the game.”
Head Coach, Chris Morgan is pleased to add Hafner to his roster. “I first saw Sam representing Fort St. John Soccer Club at Provincials in Edmonton a few years ago and spoke with him and his mom at the time. Since then, I have watched Sam play several times. He has an on-field presence due to his size and the central defensive position he plays. Beneath this presence is a player who enjoys defending and takes pride in the responsibilities that the position entails. Sam will be a solid addition to the squad. We hope he can grasp the opportunity and add to the culture that exists in the Wolves program. I look forward to working with Sam and helping to develop the enormous potential that he possesses.”
Welcome to the pack, Sam.
