Recruitment season continues for the 2021-22 GPRC Wolves as Head Coach, Chris Morgan adds another player to his women’s soccer roster. GPRC is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the 5GPRC priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member.
Meet Katelyn Doucette.
Hailing from Grande Prairie, Alberta, local player Doucette is looking forward to representing her home town. “I chose GPRC to represent my home town and to continue doing something I’m passionate about, while staying close to family.”
Doucette has a list of highlights that she will be bringing to the wolfpack. In 2016, Doucette brought home bronze all the way from Greenland at the Artic Winter Games. That same year, Doucette attended the Summer Games for Zone 8, which was her second year at these games. The first time she attended the summer games was in 2014. More recently in 2018, Doucette earned a silver title with her GP United team at U17 provincials and in 2019, she placed first with her FSJ team at the Remembrance Tournament.
In her upcoming rookie season, Doucette is looking forward to continuing to excel in her passion and make lasting friendships at College. “I am most excited to take my passion to the next level and to put lots of work into something I love. I’m also excited to form friendships on and off the field.”
Head Coach, Chris Morgan is pleased to add Doucette to the roster. “Katelyn is another product of the local soccer club here in Grande Prairie. Katelyn has so much potential as a player and carries a powerful shot while showing good positional awareness. We look forward to her development growth here at GPRC.”
