GPRC Wolves Women's Soccer New Recruit, Shenae Connell.
Recruitment season continues for the 2021-22 GPRC Wolves as Head Coach, Chris Morgan adds another player to his women’s soccer roster. GPRC is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the 5GPRC priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member.
Meet Shenae Connell.
The third local recruit in a row hailing from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Connell is ready to start her post-secondary sport career and represent her hometown. “I choose GPRC because I want to represent the town that I grew up in, and began my love for soccer.”
Connell is bringing a ton of great experience to the field for the GPRC Wolves women’s soccer program. Starting in 2016, Connell played in the Alberta Summer Games and brought home a silver provincial medal with Grande Prairie United in 2018. 2019 was a successful year for Connell as she placed third with her Fort. Saint John team in a Kelowna tournament and brought home a U19 bronze provincial medal with the same team.
In her upcoming rookie season, Connell is looking forward to continuing to grow in the sport she loves. “I am excited about playing in College level game play. I love the excitement of a game, so I can’t wait to get out there and play with the Wolves.”
Head Coach, Chris Morgan is thrilled to add another local recruit to the line-up. “We are delighted that Shenae has agreed to join the program. Shenae will be an offensive threat as she is physically strong and has good speed. We hope she settles well and hits the ground running when pre-season starts.”
Welcome to the pack, Shenae.
