Sydnee Gillman commits to the Wolves 2021-22 women's soccer program.
Recruitment season continues for the 2021-22 GPRC Wolves as Head Coach, Chris Morgan adds another player to his women’s soccer roster. GPRC is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the 5GPRC priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member.
Meet Sydnee Gillman.
A local recruit, hailing from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Gillman is ready to start her post-secondary sport career close to home. “I wanted to continue playing soccer, and Chris coached me in The Academy for a few years. I also wanted to stay home.”
Gillman is bringing valuable local, regional and international experience to the Wolves. In 2016 she participated in training sessions with Oxford United in England, and that same year, participated in the Alberta Summer Games, Zone 8. Gillman brought home a U17 silver provincial medal with her Grande Prairie United team in 2018 and a U19 bronze provincial medal with Fort St. John in 2019.
In her upcoming rookie season, Gillman is looking forward to connecting with her new classmates and teammates. “I am excited to meet new people, make new friends and continue playing soccer at a higher level.
Head Coach, Chris Morgan is thrilled to add Gillman to the line-up. “Sydnee is another local female player that adds to the growing local nucleus of the squad. I have coached Sydnee for a few years now through The Academy and know her strengths. We are pleased she is joining the program.”
Welcome to the pack, Sydnee.
