Torrance Power-Fardy Signs to GPRC Wolves Women's Soccer Team.
Recruitment season continues for the 2021-22 GPRC Wolves as Head Coach, Chris Morgan adds another player to his women’s soccer roster. GPRC is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the 5GPRC priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member.
Meet Torrance Power-Fardy.
A local recruit, hailing from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Power-Fardy is looking forward to representing the Wolves soccer program and furthering her academic career in her hometown. “I am very proud to have the chance to play soccer in my hometown, and I wanted to be able to play post-secondary with my friends and a coach I know.”
Power-Fardy is bringing valuable experience to the Wolves with two gold medals in 2020 with her GP United team, a sliver medal in 2019 at U17 Provincials and having participated in the 2016 Alberta Summer Games.
In her upcoming rookie season, the defender is looking forward to creating new experiences and pushing her skills to the next level. “I am excited to play with more experienced players who can push me to make me a better player.”
Head Coach, Chris Morgan is thrilled to add Power-Fardy to the line-up. “Torrance has developed well in Kevin Gillman’s team at GP United,” he stated. “She sense attacking threats well, which is important for a defender. Torrance is quick and aggressive and will be an asset to our GPRC Wolves program.”
Welcome to the pack, Torrance.
