GPRC Wolves Women's Soccer New Recruit, Alecs Larios.
Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2021-22 GPRC Wolves Women’s Soccer team. GPRC is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the 5GPRC priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach, Chris Morgan is excited to add his first recruits to the roster.
First up, Alecs Larios.
Hailing from Grande Prairie, Alberta, local player Larios is looking forward to furthering her academic and athletic career close to home. “I chose GPRC because I am able to stay at home while getting a good quality education and furthering my athletic ability.”
Bringing home the silver medal at her 2018 Provincials, as well as receiving the St. Joe’s Junior Female Athlete of the Year honour that same year are among Larios highlights she will be bringing to the team. Larios is also a skilled Volleyball and Badminton athlete.
In her upcoming rookie season, Larios is looking forward to playing with a new team and learning from Head Coach, Chris Morgan. “I am most excited to get back on the field and play at a higher level of competition. I’m also excited to get to know the rest of the girls, and I’ve heard Chris is a great coach. I can’t wait to learn more from him.”
Head Coach, Chris Morgan is pleased to add Larios to his goalkeeper roster. “I am excited that Larios is joining our program. We have witnessed her development in recent years through GP United Soccer Club and Alecs is an agile goalkeeper. She is a good shot stopper and distributes the ball well with her feet. We look forward to working with her and developing her game.”
Welcome to the pack, Alecs.
