Recruitment season continues for the 2020-21 GPRC Wolves Men’s Volleyball team. Head Coach Sam Tu’ivai adds another Alberta based recruit to the roster.
The newest recruit to join the team is Aidan Young.
Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Young is looking forward to learning more about the game of volleyball under great leadership. “I am excited to learn new things about the game through my new coaches, like Sam. I also have lot of family in Grande Prairie so I’m excited to see them.”
Young has had an impressive last season. In 2019, he bought home the U16 gold medal at Nationals with his team under the Canuck Volleyball Club. Young also finished out his high school career as captain of his team.
Meeting new people and starting his Bachelor of Commerce/Economics degree is what Young is most looking forward to in his rookie season. “I am excited to meet my new teammates, my new coaches and to become a better volleyball player in the process.”
Head Coach, Sam Tu’ivai is thrilled to add Young to the roster. “Aidan will be a great asset to the Wolves Men’s Volleyball team. He is already looking forward to the challenge of being a student athlete at GPRC which is awesome to see his eagerness. We are looking forward to working with him, so he can share and develop his skills and his academic pursue.”
Welcome to the pack, Aidan.
