Recruitment season has officially begun for the 2020-21 GPRC Wolves Women’s Basketball team. Head Coach, Bill Bradley is excited to add his first recruit to the roster.
Starting the recruitment season off is Sophie Simek.
Hailing from Taber, Alberta, Simek is looking forward to continue her education and basketball career at GPRC. “The College has the program I’m interested in pursuing and I believe Bill Bradley will be a good coach to play basketball for,” says Simek.
Simek’s impressive career so far includes a 3A High School Alberta Provincial Champion title with the W.R. Myers Rebels in 2018 and a silver medal at the 2019 3A High School Alberta Provincial Championships with the same team.
When asked what Simek is most looking forward to her rookie season, building relationships was at the top of her list. “I’m most excited to meet new friends my first year at GPRC,” says Simek.
Head Coach, Bill Bradley is thrilled to add Simek to the roster. “Sophie has had plenty of success at the high school level and I hope she brings that “Big Game” mentality to our program.”
Welcome to the pack, Sophie.
