Recruitment for the 2020-21 soccer season continues. GPRC Wolves Men and Women’s Soccer Head Coach, Chris Morgan adds another new player to the women’s 2020-21 roster.
The newest recruit to the team is Brooke-Lynn Ashworth.
Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Ashworth was scouted by Coach Morgan and is eager to join the Wolves. “I was encouraged to attend GPRC by a former coach who commended the College’s soccer program,” says Ashworth.
Ashworth has had an impressive career so far. She was an MVP at the 2017 Futsal Tournament, played one semester with the Concordia Thunder and was the captain of her Division 1, 2019 major league team with the Victoria Soccer Club.
Preparing for new surroundings are what Ashworth is looking forward to in her rookie season. “I’m excited about moving away from home, making new friends and studying at a new school.”
Head Coach, Chris Morgan is thrilled to be adding Ashworth to the roster. “I am excited to welcome Brooke-Lynn to GPRC. She comes highly recommended and has experience in the ACAC with the Concordia Thunder. We hope GPRC provides Brooke-Lynn with a platform to develop and show her soccer abilities. We spoke with Brooke-Lynn late last year and she showed a genuine interest and enthusiasm for playing. We can't wait to watch her play.”
Welcome to the pack, Brooke-Lynn.
