Recruitment is well underway for the 2020-21 soccer season. GPRC Wolves Men and Women’s Soccer Head Coach, Chris Morgan is pleased to continue to add to the women’s 2020-21 roster.
The newest recruit to the team is Kaitlynn MacIntyre.
Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, MacIntyre is looking forward to becoming a wolf as be begins her post-secondary education. “After meeting with Coach Morgan and watching the Wolves play, I saw the opportunities this team had and how exciting this new chapter of my life would be. GPRC provides the program I wanted to take with the added bonus of small class sizes. Both sports and academics will help me develop as a person,” says MacIntyre.
MacIntyre has experienced a successful career thus far. In 2016, her team Scottish United placed 5th at the U-16 Nationals. She received individual recognition in 2018 as the Golden Ball recipient at the St. Francis Xavier Soccer Academy and in 2020, she made the cut and joined the Division 1 Victoria Soccer Club.
Working on developing her skills and forming new relationships are on MacIntyre’s priority list in her rookie season. “I’m most excited about playing, becoming friends with the girls on the team and to continue my soccer and athletic development,” says MacIntyre.
Head Coach, Chris Morgan is excited to be adding MacIntyre to the roster. “Kaitlynn reached out to me last year with a desire to continue playing soccer at GPRC. She was recovering from injury the few months prior so it is an opportunity for her to come to Grande Prairie and continue her education and soccer. I am excited to help develop Kaitlynn's game and watch her compete.”
Welcome to the pack, Kaitlynn.
