Katie Bessel commits to the 2020-21 Wolves Women's Soccer Program.
Recruitment is underway for the 2020-21 soccer season. GPRC Wolves Men and Women’s Soccer Head Coach, Chris Morgan is pleased to be adding to the 2020-21 roster.
The newest recruit to the team is Katie Bessel.
Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Bessel is looking forward to her move north. “I chose GPRC because it offers quality programs for my athletic and academic goals while also providing a smaller class room environment,” says Bessel.
Bessel is no stranger to success in her soccer career. She’s claimed the 2019 Calgary Division One High School Championship with her alma mater, Ernest Manning High School and is a silver medalist with her Magic teammates of the Mckenzie United Soccer Club from the 2019 U19 Tier 2 Provincial championships.
“I’m most excited to experience a new level of soccer in the ACAC league and to be able to continue playing the sport I love,” says Bessel.
Head Coach, Chris Morgan is excited to add a player to the team he’s had his eye on for a while. “I first saw Katie at an ID camp in British Columbia in 2018. Katie has a physical presence and a great attitude to defend which is important in toady’s game. She reads offensive threats well and will be an asset to the program. I look forward to working with Katie and welcoming another Calgarian to the team.”
Welcome to the pack, Katie.
