Ethan Winnicky-Hussey commits to the 2020-21 Wolves Men's Volleyball Program.
Recruitment season has officially begun for the 2020-21 GPRC Wolves Volleyball team. Head Coach Sam Tu’ivai is excited to add his first recruit to the roster.
Starting the recruitment season off is Ethan Winnicky-Hussey.
Hailing from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Winnicky-Hussey is looking forward to putting on that hometown jersey. “I’ve always wanted to play for my hometown team and I really enjoy the atmosphere that has been created at GPRC within the team.”
Winnicky-Hussey’s volleyball career has led him to victory by winning gold at the 2016 AVA Provincial Championships. He’s also set to gain valuable experience finishing this year before becoming a wolf in the fall. He’s earned a spot on the 2020 Team Alberta North for the Arctic Winter Games taking place in March. He’ll also be busy this summer on the court competing with the 2020 Team Alberta at Les Jeux de la Francophonie Canadienne in Victoria, British Columbia.
“[In my rookie season] I can’t wait to learn from a great group of coaches as well as an awesome and experienced group of guys,” says Winnicky-Hussey.
Head Coach, Sam Tu’ivai is thrilled to add Winnicky-Hussey to the roster. “He will bring creative ideas as a setter and lots of upbeat attitude to the team. I’m looking forward to Ethan being part of the Wolves.”
