Carly Thomson commits to the 2020-21 Wolves Women's Volleyball Program.
Recruitment has begun for the 2020-21 volleyball season. Head Coach Lauren Hale-Miller is pleased to share that two new additions are joining the Wolves roster for the 2020-21 volleyball season.
One of the two being local recruit, Carly Thomson.
Hailing from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Thomson is looking forward to starting her first season with the Wolves. “[I am most excited to] play with new and more experienced players. I am also excited to see what I can learn and bring to the team.”
In 2019, Thomson had a very successful volleyball career. Her achievements include making the Team Alberta U17 team, bringing home a U17 Provincial title and an ASAA 4A Provincial bronze. In 2018, Thomson along side her U16 squad brought home another Provincial title.
Thomson will be taking open studies during her first year at GPRC to figure out what she wants to focus in. She is excited “to stay close to home.”
“[It’s going to be] cool [having grown] up watching the team play and now to be the one playing.”
Head Coach, Lauren Hale-Miller is pleased to welcome Thomson to the court for this upcoming 2020-21 volleyball season. “Carly is coming to our program with a ton of elite playing experiences. She will bring knowledge and speed into our offence that will be a huge asset in our program’s success.”
Welcome to the pack, Carly!
