Bill Bradley leads the pack as the new Wolves Women's Basketball Head Coach.
Grande Prairie, Alberta – GPRC Wolves Athletics is excited to announce Bill Bradley will join the program as the Women’s Basketball Head Coach.
Bradley brings a wealth of basketball knowledge to the community with over 12 years of coaching experience. For the last five years, Bradley has been the Assistant Coach to the now Canada U-Sport team, MacEwan University Griffins.
“My experience with the Griffins has given me great insight and experience on the importance in building a strong, consistent and competitive program,” says Bradley. “I was fortunate enough to work with incredible coaches there and I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to Grande Prairie.”
Bradley is no stranger to GPRC’s hallways or gymnasium. Valleyview born and raised, Bradley attended GPRC in 2014 in his pursuit of a Bachelor of Kinesiology with a Major in Coaching Studies. Once finishing his degree at the University of Alberta, Bradley went on to complete his Level Two of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
“I’m looking forward to being back in the community,” says Bradley. “In my time there, it was quickly evident that Grande Prairie is a basketball community and the College is seen as a hub for the sport. I’m looking forward to becoming a part of it and putting my own stamp on the program.”
Bradley is not even a stranger to some of the current Wolves players and says one of the best things about coaching basketball is being able to give players an opportunity to showcase what they can do.
“I was fortunate enough to coach some of these players at the high school level,” said Bradley who coached his former high school team, Hillside Cougars for six years in Valleyview. “It’s exciting to be able to watch them on the court now and see how they’ve advanced as players.”
Wolves Athletics is looking forward to welcoming Bradley, his coaching experience and energy to the court.
“We are thrilled to have Bill joining the pack and returning to GPRC,” says GPRC Athletics Manager Thomas Slifka. “His diligence, integrity, and post-secondary coaching experience will greatly serve our student athletes. We are excited to watch women’s basketball grow under Bill’s leadership.”
The GPRC Wolves kick-off their ACAC season in October with their first den home game on November 1-2 versus the Concordia Thunder.
