More About Teresa

My education began with a Nursing Diploma from Keyano College in Fort McMurray (1995). I went on to complete the U of A Post RN BScN Program at Keyano College (1997).  From there, I completed my masters from The University of Southern Queensland, Australia (2004).  Recently (2013), I have completed a Post-Basic Nursing Certificate in Palliative Care from MacEwan University.

My nursing background is primarily in Medical-Surgical nursing.  I have been working at GPRC since 1999 and have taught in all 4 years of the program.  I am passionate about nursing and about teaching!  Some areas of interest include pain assessment and management, palliative care and end-of-life issues, as well as working with and helping students learn.  Recently I have become a board member on the Grande Prairie Hospice Palliative Care Society (2013).

I have a wonderful husband named Mark and two beautiful children (Nate & Lily).
