More About Alana

Alana Kazmer received her high school diploma in British Columbia and went to Northern Lakes College for the Educational Assistant Program. She has been at NWP, formally GPRC, for over 5 years and like most people there, has worked at various jobs throughout her career until she found her love and her passion. Alana works as an Enrolment Assistant (based out of the Fairview Campus) but is so much more than just Enrolment. She assists anyone who walks through her doors, whether it be apprentices, academic students, families of students, new to the area individuals, walk-ins, faculty or staff. Not only does she help with registering apprentices and academic students in their classes, she is a one stop for information and direction (no question is too small or “silly”)! If Alana is not able to assist, she will find someone who can.

Alana comes from a family of tradespeople with a military background (father was military and Alana, herself was a CIC Officer). She has worked in the oilfield as a value technician and has assisted with shutdowns on various locations. Alana have recently received the NWP’s Most Student Centred Staff Award and sits on the board of the George Lake Aquatic Association and the Crossroads Resource Centre and Women’s Shelter.
