Situated within the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, the Department of Nursing Education and Health Studies features a leading-edge teaching and research environment that provides future health care professionals with the know-how to meet patient care and comfort needs.
With safe and ethical patient care at the centre of our programs, NWP offers a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in collaboration with the University of Alberta. Our program instills the foundations of professional nursing and person-centred care, paying particular attention to culturally safe interactions and practice.

BScN Student Handbook BScN Requisite SkillsHealth & Safety Requirements
We understand that due to the COVID-19 outbreak there may be delays in completing some of the health and safety requirements, specifically the Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance (original required), immunizations and in-person BLS/First Aid certifications. These requirements may not be able to be completed prior to beginning your program in September and we have made allowances for this. Please complete and submit the health and safety requirements that you are able to do and stay in contact with our office at BSCNChecklist@NWPolytech.ca regarding the status of the remainder.
