Description

This one-day course includes four hours of lecture and videos, four hours of demonstration and hands-on training followed by a proficiency demonstration, and an Operator Performance Evaluation.

Some of the topics covered in this course include:

• Fundamentals of safe wheeled loader operation
• Pre-use inspections
• Safe operation of the wheeled loader and associated attachments
• Safe handling of loads
• Safe task procedures
• Workplace Health and Safety Regulations in respect to the operation of mobile equipment

You must be at least 18 years of age to attend this course and must bring a valid Alberta driver's license or learner's permit. The use of coveralls or long sleeves and long pants during training is recommended.
