Indigenous Health in Canada (MICROM0017)
Description
This course is offered in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action and is the beginning step to culturally safe interaction and practice. The focus is on introducing students to a variety of historical realities and contemporary issues relevant to Indigenous health in Canada. Learners will examine issues and contributions facing settler relations from a historical, contemporary, and critical perspective, with a focus on health and well-being.
Delivery Format
Asynchronous online, where learners are required to complete activities and assigments at specified times. Leaners will have the support of a tutor in order to be successful.
Completion Timeframe
This course consists of 45 hours of learning material. Students must complete all course material and assigments in the scheduled timeline. No extensions will be provided.
Learner Requirements
You must have access to a stable internet connection and Excel 2019/Office 365 software in order to work through the content, as software is not included.
Refund/Extension Policy
No refunds or withdrawals are permitted for this course.
This course is not eligible for an extension. If you do not complete the course content within your registration timeframe, you will have to re-register and pay for the full tuition again.
