Essential Skills for Nurses Practicing in Canada (IEN08)
Description
Essential Skills for Nurses Practicing in Canada is one of eight courses in the IEN Program.
This course is designed to gain proficiency and confidence in performing essential psychomotor skills required in Nursing practice in Canada at an entry to practice level and includes hands on training with mentors and educators. It covers skills such as patient assessment, wound care, infection control, medication administration and surgical procedures. Students should also be proficient in using various medical equipment. The course also aims to equip students with the necessary tools to provide patient centred care and effectively manage patient care plans.
Delivery Format
Asynchronous online, where you have the support of a course tutor to be successful.
Completion Timeframe
- 90 days from the start of each course to complete.

Learner Requirements
- Access to a computer and a stable internet connection.
- Are required to complete all self-study modules and assessments.
Refund/Extension Policy
No refunds or withdrawals are permitted for Internationally Educated Nurse courses.
PPIEN courses are not eligible for an extension. If you do not complete the course content within your registration timeframe, you will have to re-register and pay for the full tuition again.
