Aerial Lift/Genie Lift Operator (ALO01)
Description
This aerial lift training program consists of class theory and a practical evaluation, including Scissor and Articulated Lift. By the end of the course, you will
- understand the design and limitations of an aerial lift device
- know how to conduct a pre-use inspection
- demonstrate safe operating procedures
- learn the roles and responsibilities for safe operation
- understand the principles and interpretation of the "Envelope Management System"
- have the ability to operate a lift safely
You must be at least 18 years of age to attend this course and must bring a valid Alberta driver's license or learner's permit and steel-toe boots. We recommend that students bring a full-body harness and a four-foot non-shock absorbing lanyard. We also recommend students wear coveralls or long sleeves and long pants during training.
NWP Continuing Education's Aerial Lift course has been awarded 0.5 Certification Maintenance Points (CMPs) through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals. BCRSP APPROVAL # 11382.
