Indigenous Jersey Design Challenge

Calling all creatives - the time has come to leave your mark.

NWP is looking for an impressive and impactful jersey design that captures the energy and strength of Indigenous communities in Northern Alberta.

From June 7 – July 8, 2024 we will be accepting potential Wolves jersey designs for the upcoming season.

In the spirit of competition, there can be only one winner. Our panel comprising representatives from Indigenous student athletes, community leaders, and NWP staff will have the difficult task of selecting the top design by July 15, 2024.

Competitive Edge

The winning artwork will be translated into a Wolves jersey that will be worn by the fiercest Wolfpack around at various times during the competitive season.

The winning design will also win a cash prize of $1500.

All designs submitted will also be featured on our social media, with credit given to the designer.

The Fine Print

Successful design requirements are as follows:

• high quality vectored or vectorable images;
• 300 dpi minimum;
• represent Indigenous culture in NW Alberta;
• must be inclusive and not tied to a singular Indigenous community;
• must be original;
• must incorporate the Wolf or Wolves;
• needs to be able to accommodate for jersey numbers.

Artists are asked to please include a brief summary with their design submission explaining how it represents Indigenous communities, the Wolves, NWP, and the region.

NWP has a range of signature colours from a vibrant palette that may be incorporated into the design.

Official Rules

• all participants must be, at the time of entry, 18 years of age or older;
• the contest is open to everyone, but preference will be given to Indigenous designers and artists;
• no more than two designs may be submitted by an individual/organization;
• all submitted work must be the original work of the participant and must not include, be based on, or derived from any pre-existing or third-party designs, trademarks or copyrighted images;
• AI assisted submissions would disqualify an artist; and
• the winning entry will only receive their cash prize upon signing of a contract with NWP for the purpose of ownership and usage.
