GPRC President and CEO Don Gnatiuk Announces Retirement
At the start of the new year,
GPRC President and CEO Don Gnatiuk announced his plans to retire from the College. Gnatiuk has committed to
continue in his role until the Board successfully recruits a new President and CEO, or until March 2020. In
the past 12 years, Gnatiuk has led GPRC through significant growth, including the expansion of its campuses
to include Fairview and adding the learning centres in Grande Cache, Edson, Hinton and Jasper. In a goal he
set out to achieve from the start, Gnatiuk has also led GPRC on its path to be degree-granting. Read

GPRC Welcomes New Vice-President, Academics and Research
Dr. Tim Heath joins GPRC as the
new Vice-President, Academics and Research. Heath is an alumnus who returns to GPRC with more than 15 years
of leadership experience in post-secondary education in Alberta, having worked at Ambrose University in
Calgary, Red Deer College and most recently, Lethbridge College. Heath intends to lead faculty and staff
towards offering a broad range of high-quality programming and services, while supporting the scholarship
and research activities of College faculty, students and staff. Learn

More Degree Completion Opportunities for GPRC Business Students
Starting
in Fall 2019, GPRC is collaborating with SAIT to offer a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration
degree with a major in Management on the College’s Grande Prairie campus. This builds on the existing
collaboration with SAIT launched in 2017 and helps address the growing need for industry-ready graduates in

GPRC Fairview Convocation
Welcome to the GPRC Alumni
Family. We celebrated the achievements of this
year’s 336 graduates at Fairview Convocation on March 9 in the Fred Speckeen Theatre. We would
like to extend a warm congratulations to all our graduates and thank them for allowing us to join in the
celebration of their special day. The graduating students accepted their certificates and enjoyed an
afternoon of company and celebration at the President’s Tea. Browse

GPRC Student Business Conference
Planned and organized completely
by students in the Contemporary Issues in Business Class, the 30th Annual GPRC Business Conference happened
on March 19. This event was a full day of keynote speakers and breakout sessions, focusing on various
aspects of business, social media, and marketing relevant to today’s business world. Check

GPRC Donors Support Students to the Tune of $450,000
Donors to GPRC generously give
around $450,000 to directly help students succeed. These donations are awarded to students as awards,
bursaries and scholarships. On February 14, GPRC held a donor appreciation event to honour and recognize the
