Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2023-2024 NWP Wolves Men’s Volleyball team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach, Matthew Powell is excited to add recruits to the roster.
Meet Jeremy Weaver a multi-talented athlete from Prince George, British Columbia who is excited to join the Wolves Men’s Volleyball team for the upcoming year.
Weaver brings with him an impressive athletic resume, including winning bronze medal at Canada Cup in Summer 2022.
When asked why he chose NWP, Weaver explained that it felt like home, as both of his parents played for the Wolves when they were attending school. Anytime he had visited Grande Prairie, he admits he enjoyed his time here and so it felt like the right choice overall.
In his rookie year, Weaver is most excited about the prospect of stepping onto the court and getting to know his new team.
Head Coach Matthew Powell is excited to work with Weaver, adding, “Jeremy is a crafty player that has the ability to surprise his opponents with speed. His parents are both NWP alumni, so we look forward to seeing Jeremy follow in their footsteps.”
Welcome to the pack, Jeremy.
