NWP Alumni Sheryll Ann Esporton
Sheryll Ann Esporton was no stranger to the world of childcare when she enrolled in Northwestern Polytechnic's Early Learning and Childcare diploma program. With her already-established position with Watch Me Grow Family Childcare Program, Esporton felt ready to gain even more great skills and advance her career prospects.
The knowledge she acquired from the program allowed her to be better equipped for success. From understanding nutrition guidelines for a pre-schooler to gaining insight into child psychology and behavior, Esporton was able to apply her ideas and take on new responsibilities confidently. The diploma course also enabled Esporton to qualify for higher salary roles within the field of childcare.
“Being a licensed day home educator makes excellent use of my training and allows me to also be a self-employed entrepreneur,” Esporton said. “Childcare is a growing field with lots of demand and adaptability, it's exciting to be a part of, and I'm thankful for the leap forward that I gained at Northwestern Polytechnic.”
Esporton was empowered by the knowledge she gained through the diploma program and is now ready to take on even bigger challenges in early childhood education. With her newfound confidence and passion for educating others, she’s sure to make a positive impact on her communities and beyond.
Her expansion on theoretical and practical knowledge of Early Learning and children's development gave her the boost she needed to become a highly sought-after childcare provider.
