The Financial Services department provides financial stewardship and management services for the County, including financial support to all departments in the areas of accounting, finance, and budgeting.
We are looking for a Summer Student for our Cash Control team to work in our Main Administrative Building until the end of August 2024. This position is one of the first points of contact for the public, in person and over the phone. If you have excellent customer service skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a busy office environment, you may be the right one to join our team!
Duties Include but not limited to:
Answering telephone and front counter inquiries
Greeting, screening, and directing visitors
Establishing and maintaining positive relations with customers
Undertaking cash receipting and answering basic tax and utility account inquiries
Balancing and preparing bank deposits (daily or as required)
Entering and verifying financial data into computer system
Filing and other administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
Excellent computer skills, including Office 365
Working towards a diploma or degree in business, accounting/finance, or equivalent
Some experience in a Customer Service role in an office setting greeting customers and answering phones
Experience with cash receipting and data entry an asset
Some financial background including A/R and A/P an asset
Additional Information
This position works 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm from May until the end of August.
Hourly Pay $24.47 to $28.78
This position will be posted until April 23rd, 2024 or until suitable candidate found.
