More About Joan

I began my nursing education at the Misericordia School of Nurisng and graduated from the University of Alberta with my BScN in 1997 and subsequently moved to Grande Prairie. I was employed at the QE II Hospital in acute care for 10 years and then made the transition to GPRC as a nursing instructor. 

I have taught across all years of our program and enjoy both the classroom and the clinical setting. I have been very involved with the development and integration of our Simulation lab and high fidelity simulators within our classes and encourage you to come and check it out!

I completed my Masters Degree in Nursing with a teaching focus through Athabasca University in April 2013 and continue to peruse additional courses and programs to add to my knowledge base and enrich my career.

I am very proud to be a nurse and thoroughly enjoy teaching the future of the nursing profession!
