Internationally Educated Nursing
These courses are designed to gain proficiency and confidence in performing essential skills required in nursing practice in Canada at an entry-to-practice level and include hands-on training with mentors and educators. The courses are taken on line and students can register on an ongoing basis starting at the beginning of each month. There are eight courses that can be taken which include:
IEN 01 - NG-NCLEX - RN Preparation Course - Specific to BScN students
IEN 02 - Enhancing Communication, Cultural Competence and Indigenous Health in Canadian Nursing Practice
IEN03 - Foundational Pharmacology: Ensuring Patient Safety in Medication Administration
IEN04 - Jurisprudence and Ethics in Canadian Nursing
IEN05 - Fundamentals of Maternity, Pediatric and Public Health in Canada
IEN06 - Mental Health Interventions: A Comprehensive Guide to Nursing Practice
IEN07 - Fundamentals of Medical and Surgical Nursing in Canada
IEN08 - Essential Nursing Skills for Nurses

- Access to a computer and a stable internet connection.
- Are required to complete all self-study modules and assessments.
