Mind Over Metal™ Welding Camp

Does welding spark your interest? NWP Fairview, in partnership with the Canadian Welding Bureau Foundation (CWBF) is proud to bring the Mind Over Metal™ Camp to our region.

Our Full Day Friday Camp offers teens aged 15-17 an opportunity to explore potential career paths and dive into the world of skilled trades. The camp is designed to introduce students to welding basics through fun, project-based, hands-on learning in a safe and supportive environment.

With only 24 spots available, each participant will receive personalized attention from experienced welding professionals while they work on their projects. This approach will help participants develop a deeper understanding of the Trades, gain valuable skills, build confidence, and have a great time.

Camp Details

• Date: Fridays from February 7 - March 7, 2025
• Location: NWP Fairview Campus
• Registration Deadline: February 1, 2025

The camps are a great experience for youth to explore opportunities in welding and welding-related skilled trades careers while learning new skills and working together in a group environment. Hands-on learning at these camps builds confidence and self-esteem and gives many participants a reason to continue developing a welding career in secondary, post-secondary and apprenticeship.
