About the Student Ambassador Program
The Student Ambassador program connects current students to prospective students. It also helps the newest members of our learning community successfully transition into post-secondary life. An institutional goal is for our campuses to be spaces where everyone can learn, work and thrive. The Student Ambassador program complements this feeling of community through events and activities, both on and off-campus throughout the year.
Welcome Week/Orientation
New Student Orientation is full of fun and informative events for new and returning students to get involved. Ambassadors assist students with check-in, organizing social events, or leading new students around campus while teaching them about our resources and student life.
On-Campus Events
Ambassadors are involved in all sorts of events happening around campus. On top of New Student Orientation in both Fall and Winter semesters, Ambassadors play integral roles in events throughout the year.
Campus Tours
Ambassadors are often the first point of contact for new and prospective students, introducing them to the many resources and facilities around campus. Ambassadors can also provide tours for larger groups such as classes and their teachers who visit our institution from all over.
Career & Education Fairs
You can join recruitment staff in attending Career and Education Fairs. Ambassadors represent our institution and answer questions about our community and the programs we offer. Ambassadors get to share their experiences and connect with prospective and current students.
Monthly Meetings: Leadership and Professional Development
Ambassadors attend mandatory monthly meetings to develop their skills to be the best Ambassadors they can be. Every month, we work on developing skills in communication, teamwork, public speaking, and event planning to give our Ambassadors the tools they need to be successful leaders.
