Collective Agreement Negotiations
CURRENT STATUS |
NWP and the AUPE FV group are in the process of negotiating a renewed collective agreement. Both parties are also currently engaged in separate bargaining for an Essential Services Agreement (ESA). This is an agreement between an employer and a bargaining agent that outlines which services are essential and must continue in the event of job action. We will continue to provide updates regarding bargaining discussions. If you have any questions, please contact Jarem Gurney, Executive Director, Human Resources. |

Bargaining Progress
January 27 & 28, 2025 |
The bargaining committees for the Board and AUPE (Fairview Campus) met for collective bargaining on January 27 and 28, 2025. These were the first bargaining dates since the parties exchanged ongoing bargaining proposals. The committees discussed several issues that were brought forward. They were able to agree in principle to sign off on status quo language for several provisions in the Collective Agreement. The parties are working on identifying additional dates. Based on the tone of our discussions to date, the Board is optimistic about this bargaining process, and looks forward to our ongoing discussions with AUPE’s bargaining committee. |
