High School Basketball Tournament

The Northwestern Polytechnic High School Basketball Tournament is here! With some of the best young athletes in the region showcasing their skills and teamwork, this tournament promises to be an exciting battle for the championship banner. The tournament will be held in the NWP Gymnasium on our Grande Prairie Campus and in local high school gyms from Friday, December 6th to Saturday, December 7th, 2024. We are also returning to the Big Bracket for the first time since 2019, 16 teams in both boys and girls will compete over the 2 days. 

Tournament Fees and Registration Information

Registration has been filled for the NWP 2024 High School Basketball Tournament.

If you want to add a team to the waitlist, please contact bbradley@nwpolytech.ca.

NWP will not issue refunds for any cancellations after Friday, November 22nd. Cancellations before November 21st, 2024, will be charged 25% of the entry fee.

Draws and Game Play

The tournament schedule is available on Bracket Team. Game results and draw changes will also be posted here as the weekend progresses.

All games will be 10-minute quarters, with 2-minute quarter breaks and 5-minute halftime.

Officiating

After feedback from previous tournaments, we are working to provide Officials for all games. However, it may not be possible due to availability and volume of games.

Admission

• Single Day Pass: $6.00
• Weekend Pass: $10.00
• Children under 6: FREE
• Seniors over 65: FREE

Parking

Relaxed parking on NWP campus starts Friday at 11:30 am and free on Saturday.
