Program: Visual Arts

Whether it's going on a material run with a few peers, lending a tool to someone in need, or working through solutions with a classmate, Marie's contributions to the Visual Art and Design program are invaluable.

"Prior to applying for the Fine Arts program, I had a job in finance. With the help of God, my husband, and some discernment, I left my conventional job to become an artist. I wanted to learn new skills to complement my "God given" talents. I am grateful for the opportunity and honoured for the recognition."

Program: Academic Upgrading

Heather is not only supportive of her instructors and classmates but also has a positive personality that enriches the classroom culture and learning environment.

Program: Early Learning & Childcare

Hannah Siscar is not only committed to excelling academically, she also quietly and gracefully encourages her peers to aim higher. These are the very qualities that make Hannah exceptional now and an amazing future childhood educator.

"As an international student in this institution, I am thrilled to discover our vast and multicultural community and learn different perspectives and cultures. I am grateful for the continuous support and guidance from the brilliant people at Northwestern Polytechnic, including my instructors and co-learners, throughout my personal, professional, and academic journey."

Program: Electrical Apprentice

Although relatively new to the field, Ethan is a bright spark on campus and in the classroom. He consistently demonstrates the skills and attitudes that will allow him to become a great leader in the Electrical Trade.

"I'm honoured and humbled to be nominated by the staff and recognized by NWP as a Star Student. The Electrical instructors have been there to answer my questions and have gone further into explanation so I can grasp the material. This has been a huge part of my success in the program."

Program: Education - University Transfer

Dylon's quiet, reflective, and thoughtful presence is the first clue that this future educator will be a leader in his field. Beyond that, you'll find an individual with a fierce and persevering spirit and an unmatched passion for his community.

"I'm going to miss NWP when I transfer to the University of Alberta next year. The amazing professors and instructors helped me along my education journey in many ways, especially Professor Daryl White for making my favourite topic, History, interesting and enjoyable."

Program: Business Administration

Dean is a dedicated and engaged student who is involved in several student groups at NWP. He understands the value of connection and isn't shy about searching out opportunities to maximize the campus and student experience.

Program: Kinesiology - University Transfer

Not only is Colton a brilliant student, he's also a rising star athlete who has made waves at NWP as a top runner. Outside of impressive athletic pursuits, Colton is actively involved in the NWP community, making significant contributions to the Circle of Indigenous Students.

Program: Veterinary Technology

Along with continuing to achieve impressive academic results, Alex maintains a high average while volunteering, leading study groups for first-year students, and participating in program recruitment events.

"I am overwhelmed to have received this award amid my many excellent peers. Having often struggled with academics, this is an especially meaningful achievement for me. The inspiration and motivation provided to me by the staff and students at Northwestern Polytechnic have made it all possible.
